ArtyTorrent 103-Misc Guitar Loops 1-WAV samples ----------------------------------------------- As requested, here is a pack of guitar loops, divided into three categories. The sound of the guitar will always be popular, so there is something here for just about every genre of music. There's some slow acoustic picking for hip hop and RnB, clean strumming and bluesy riffs for indie-rock, plus some all-out distorted solos for industrial, metal or big beat. The best thing to do, as always, is experiment. A future pack dedicated solely to wah-wah and funky disco riffs will be compiled in the not too distant future, so look out for that. Torrent contains 3 RARs with 186 loops -------------------------------------- Misc Acoustic Guitar Loops (45) Misc Amped Guitar Loops (79) Misc Clean Electrics (62) These samples are from various sources that I got so long ago I can't even remember. You've probably already a got a few of these if you've been torrenting for a while, but my pack is special because I've renamed all files to include root key note information where known, included the tempo, and acidized the samples to make pitchshifting easy. All files are normalized 16-bit WAVs at 44.1KHz. -- Arty - "No roadies required" 6th March 2008 P.S. If some of the downloads never even started, there are a number of reasons. It could be a lack of seeds (unlikely, since all my torrents have at least 1) but it's more likely to be a problem with your client or your ISP. I strongly advise using uTorrent or Azureus and re-clicking on the the torrent links on TPB. If torrents are ridiculously slow, your ISP may be traffic shaping (throttling) your connections. With uTorrent and Azureus, you can try encrypting your data. (I routinely block connections from old unencrpyted clients).

i know sounds like suckin up, but it really is a small world if there's only 1 Arty.
else i'd b browing sites all day with like maybe a dozen "not real real bad" samples.
there was nothing out there when u were on like maybe #15 or #16, and i started havin to relook a few days ago when i finished learing all my software and got an acapella i could do a little with.
i only hit a few samples before i posted, just enuf to get a taste, and wow, nothing more could i have expected. i didnt have many, and they were total junk. ty so vvm again.
ill hold and seed this. i am seeding some of the bigger techno/trance for awhile, but 2-5 gigs prob my limit for now (havta clean good 20-30 someday) and i have dsl with only hosting Magix basic (low d/l)
remem that birthday techno pack? well im concerned in my next life there wont b techno. next life b-day presents too? ;)
and i always read ur comments, sometimes informative for a producer newb (though im old as dirt)
really dont know what all is missing or underepresented in your torrents. i dont know if it was urs but i think i saw a violin & chello (not many tho) in my samples last few days (maybe usable for goth tunes?). flutes can make some good sounds vs maybe clairenet or oboe, guess depends on person, sax is still used besides bill clinton, right?
and horns. maybe some "stabs?" for my buzzmachine (though it may have a machine or two for this stuff, dunno, and still have to learn the sampler part anyways) and samples

I'm glad you found this pack useful. I would love to be able to furnish your requests with new packs, but something bad has come up. My ISP is closing my account! I'm not certain of the precise reason, but my "excessive" use of bandwidth may be something to do with it.
I was going to take a week off from posting new torrents, but it looks like you may have to wait rather longer. I'm not sure if I'll actually bother signing up with a new ISP in the near future, so I may be without the internet at home for some considerable time.
I shall see how badly I miss the internet (I am an addict) before splashing out more money for slow speeds.

way sad. there are a few more loop/samples torrents than when AT started, but they seem to alot of what is out there. And not like AT wern't way more fun. Very much alot of work tho! even just less frequent would be alot! and you had quick rename proggie for add bpm, etc? just throw em all in a folder if same.
talk to isp? just say oppps sry maybe? i know lotsa ppl will seed 4 u. something called super-seeding, where u only have to seed 100% ? tell em u got xtra usage fixed if its upload prob.

Professional artists use one-shot kicks; they use real drums or manipulated sine waves or some combination of both. I want a tight , thumping Dance kick that steals my stomach and pulls me into the ground. Which kick did Daft Punk use in "Around the World"?, or Aphex in "Come to Daddy"? I hear cool kicks in popular dance music but I don't know where they came from. If anyone knows where particular sounds come from please tell us and post 'em.
